Since 2015 I’ve been an active member of the global open data community, working as a data trainer and participating in in-person global events in Costa Rica, Canada, Mexico, Guatemala, Nicaragua, Colombia, Brazil, Chile, Paraguay, the United Kingdom, Germany, Italy, Spain and Tanzania. I have also worked as a data journalism lecturer at the University of Costa Rica.
Workshops and trainings
- Tutor in 6 editions of the course Introduction to Open Data in the online Campus of the Organization of American States
- Trained public servants in Open Government in Costa Rica with the support of the Inter Development Bank and the Latin American Initiative of Open Data.
- Trainings and talks and speaker at conferences and events about data analysis, open data and data journalism. Topics included: data collection, data cleaning, data analysis, data visualization, data publication.
- Organization of community building events for the local open data community.
